Sings Like an Angel, and Makes a Kickin Banana Bread!
Victoria Clark was starring in The Light in the Piazza at Lincoln Center when B'DAT was producing Pippin around the corner. We first met her when she tip toed into the back of the drama studio to see her voice student sing his heart out playing the title role.
Little did Beacon know that the nice lady grinning in the back of the house would return both with her son as an incoming freshman a few years later, but also as a guest performer with our choir, guest teaching artist, mentor and friend. So generous. So kind. She sang with our choir and helped up our game!
Victoria Clark convinced our director that we could handle, Light in the Piazza, harp and all, and then she helped us every step of the way. Musically her input and support was immeasurable, but she also was perhaps the very best cheerleader of the whole season. Never empty handed, she delivered cookies, brownies and always perfectly timed words of encouragement for everyone involved with the production. Her unwavering faith and support of our program is an inspiration.
