Doug Elkins, choreographerDoug Elkins is a two-time New York Dance and Performance (BESSIE) Award-winning choreographer who began his career as a B-Boy, touring the world with break dance groups New York Dance Express and Magnificent Force, among others. In 1988, he officially founded the Doug Elkins Dance Company which performed nationally and internationally for fifteen years before disbanding in 2003. Doug has taught and choreographed extensively in the US and Europe. A graduate of SUNY/Purchase, he received his MFA in Dance from Hollins University/ADF in 2007. Mr. Elkins was part of the Faculty at the Beacon School from 2006-2012.
Vince Peterson, music directorVince Peterson is a Brooklyn-based composer, conductor, and keyboardist. He studied composition and choral conducting at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Mannes College at The New School in Manhattan. He is the founder of the critically-acclaimed vocal ensemble, Choral Chameleon which is now entering its fifth anniversary season and which has made significant strides in modern choral music. Not limiting his work to choral music, Peterson is a seasoned orchestral and musical theater conductor and coach. Productions he has musically directed include The Wiz, Into the Woods (Regional), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oklahoma, Little Shop of Horrors, The Last Five Years (San Francisco Premiere) and Tamar and the River (a new collaboration between Choral Chameleon and The New York Theater Barn - premiering in 2013). www.vincepeterson.com

Gabe Luce, music directorGabriel Luce is a New York City-born pianist and composer. He has lived in NYC for his whole life, except for the time that he spent attending Binghamton University, where he graduated with honors, obtaining a degree in music composition and piano performance. In 2009, he joined the music department his alma mater, The Beacon School, teaching choir, keyboard skills, and band. Gabriel is also a faculty composer and musical director at the Lucy Moses Summer Musical Theater Workshop. SMTW is a place where kids participate in all aspects of producing an original show in a 5-week workshop, which culminates in a full-scale production at Merkin Concert Hall. Gabe currently freelances actively in New York City with various artists in and out of the studio. In his spare time (of which he has very little) Gabriel enjoys cooking and eating Italian food. Gabe most recently collaborated with Beacon coordinating the orchestra for Spring Awakening and later music directing Starmites!
Wendy Waring, choreographerWendy Waring has worked on Broadway with such esteemed directors as Harold Prince, Tommy Tune, Mathew Warchus and Susan Stroman creating roles in Will Rogers Follies, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, The Producers and Crazy for You. Her work on Television includes characters on Guiding Light, As The World Turns, Loving, and guest appearances on Late Night with David Letterman. Wendy studied at Emerson College and holds a BFA from NYU. As a staff member at Beacon she has joyously collaborated with Dale Lally (Drowsy Chaperone, Guys n Dolls, Starmites!) and Jo Ann Cimato (Pippin, Tommy) for the last six years. Wendy is married to actor John Hillner.
