 Some Basic B'DAT Main Stage Q & A for 12th Night

  • Twelfth Night  will be cast by the production staff which includes the Director, Music Director and Choreographer ONLY
  • This is our first show back and we're casting EVERYONE who auditions who can be commit to two regular rehearsal days per week. Really. We want to welcome everyone who wants to get back on stage, back on stage. We're all out of practice. So let's remove the barriers and do it. Together.
  • Bigger roles do require more rehearsal time. Please clear your schedule accordingly if you'd like to play a principal role.
  • Crew Captains will be assigned before casting. If you're interested, see Cimato ASAP.
  • Focus on prepping the role you match the most - not the biggest part. Read the character descriptions carefully and plan accordingly.
  • PLEASE BE HONEST ABOUT CONFLICTS with the production team - and with yourself.
  • If you are not called back that doesn't mean you will not be part of the production. We only call back actors we NEED to see again.
  • You may audition AND offer to be on the crew, but auditioning and asking to be on the crew does NOT assure you a crew position.
  • Divas need not apply. For REALZ.
STOP GOSSIPING. You will only psych yourself out and not bring your best to the audition. Besides, the more you speculate casting the more wrong you will be.

BE GENEROUS. Karma is a big part of being an artist. Put good energy out there. Get good energy will come back to you.

WE CAN HEAR YOU! Keep the drama on the stage. Students who are immature, fussy, or who's social agenda gets in the way of the work, will be asked to step aside for students who can work hard and be kind at the same time. Really.
