Attendance Policy or Missing Persons Make Me Cry!

Seriously folks, showing up is more than half the battle. Our work is work that happens IN THE CLASSROOM. Be a responsible citizen and follow up on absences you MUST have, be good to your scene partners. This is the policy, just so we're all clear.

Three Late Entrances = One Unexcused Absence.
Five Unexcused Absences = ZERO Participation Grade in a Full Band Class
Three  Unexcused Absences = ZERO Participation Grade in a Half Band Class

In other words, if you are consistently late or cut this class, you can expect to receive a C at best and only if your work rivals Al Pacino's.
It is your responsibility to e-mail/Call/Txt me if you anticipate missing class for any reason what so ever, so that you can make up what you miss. Your contacting me does NOT excuse your absences. A call, e-mail, or contact from your parent or guardian does.  But remember, this class depends on all of you being present physically and mentally and you are shortchanging someone else’s progress if you deny us your contributions!

Per the Department of Education; you risk failing a course simply by missing more than 10% of class meetings.

10% of a half band class is 3 classes!
10% of a full band class is 6 classes!

If you're early - you're on time.
If you're on time - you're late.
If you're late - you're fired.

Words to live by.
